On the road from Ragusa leading to the sea, Poggio del Sole Resort [Sun’s Hill Resort] dominates the charming Hyblean plateau amid a mix of rugged valleys and hills, carob and olive trees, and a thick lattice of dry stone walls.
At the midpoint of the major centres in the Noto valley, the structure was built before the Baroque period, long enough ago at a time when people live their lives amidst the true nature of a historic land.
The "Poggio del Sole Resort,” originated in 1879 as an old – fashioned rural residence, was carefully restructured and expanded in 2006 by the present owners
The old fashioned building hosts three suites, the refined “Dell’Angelo” [Of the Angel] restaurant, the “Degli Archi” [Of the Arches] conference room and a Lounge Bar.
Newly constructed is the more informal “Osteria” [carvery-room] with its stone oven and rooms.
To complete the structure there are an open-air swimming-pool with Jacuzzi corner and the garage
